Benefits & Risks of AIObjective: Provide comprehensive guidance to students and staff on both the opportunities and risks of AI, including strategies to mitigate risks and maximize benefits.
Responsible & Prohibited Use ExamplesObjective: Clearly define responsible and prohibited uses of AI tools, emphasizing the need for human review in certain applications and maintaining academic integrity
Guidelines for Citing and Disclosing AI UseObjective: Develop guidelines for students and teachers on tracking and citing their use of GenAI, including examples of proper AI disclosure statements and citations in the correct format.
Considerations for Grading and Providing Feedback with AIObjective: Create guidelines for teachers regarding the use of AI for grading and providing feedback.
The Use of AI Detection ToolsObjective: Establish clear guidelines for using AI detection software to address potential plagiarism or cheating, acknowledging the tools’ limitations and inaccuracies, and the serious implications of false plagiarism allegations.
