Not only is it free, but you don’t even need to create an account to use it. It has a very simple layout that saves a lot of time when accessing features. It’s also feature packed and all of the features are free.

Five design elements make up the toolbar that runs down the left side of the page.

  • Template: Choose from hundreds of customizable templates in 30 categories.
  • Photo: Add photos with a click. You can upload your own photos, import directly from Facebook, or search from more than half a million free stock images on Pixabay.
  • Text: DesignCap features several fonts and all of the usual text editing options.
  • Clipart: Choose from a wide selection of clipart images, all conveniently sorted into categories and sub-categories. You can also search from among 93,000 clipart images if you still haven’t found what you’re looking for. All of DesignCap’s clipart images are free to use, unlike many other online poster makers.

Saving and Sharing Your Poster

The top menu bar present four options for sharing or saving your work.

  • Save: Posters can be saved to your device as JPG or PNG files in one of four different quality (and file size ) levels.
  • Share: Share your poster directly to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Tumblr.
  • Print: Open the print dialogue on your device with one click.
  • More: This might the most underrated feature. You can save your work to your device as a DesignCap file (.dcp) and upload it to continue working at another time. This means that students can save work in progress without an account.
